"Good Conversation!" features interviews with more than 55 authors of hundreds of top-selling, critically-acclaimed children's books.

Authors featured in the "Good Conversation!" series include Avi, writer of the Newbery Award honored books Nothing But the Truth and The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle; Lynne Reid Banks, author of The Indian in the Cupboard; Betsy Byars, author of Newbery winner Summer of the Swans; Bruce Coville, author of the million-seller My Teacher is an Alien; Karen Hesse, author of the 1998 Newbery winner Out of the Dust; multiple Newbery Award winner E. L. Konigsburg; Madeleine L'Engle, Newbery winner for A Wrinkle in Time; Robert Newton Peck, author of the modern classic A Day No Pigs Would Die; world-renowned author Chaim Potok; Theodore Taylor, author of the best-selling The Cay; and dozens of others.

Each videotape is devoted exclusively to one author, typically taped on location in the author's hometown or work environment and featuring lots of local color. Tapes have been shot in Cape Cod, MA; the Monterey Peninsula, CA; New York City; throughout New England; St. Andrews, Scotland; Hampshire, Dorset and London, England; and many other locations.

The "Good Conversation!" tape series is designed primarily for children in Grades 3-8, but appeals to a broad range of interests and ages. The tapes, about 20 minutes in length, are typically purchased by schools and libraries, but by parents as well. More than 20 distributors now sell "Good Conversation!" tapes around the world.
